Eastern Health selects MOBIA and MERU Networks to provide pervasive Wi-Fi coverage throughout the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Newfoundland and Labrador.  This network will serve to provide mobile connectivity to critical health care equipment, medical care givers, administrative staff, patients and guests.  MERUs unique single channel architecture was selected because of its ability to separate life critical traffic from mission critical and the public access traffic.

MOBIA is very pleased to have been awarded a five year contract to provide Core and Edge Networking Technology to support Eastern Health’s connectivity requirements in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Our technology partner, Brocade, is a world leader in SAN, Ethernet fabrics and Software Defined Networking.

MOBIA is proud to have achieved; Silver Status in Servers, Storage and Networking; as well as Gold Status for Technical Services.  This is another milestone in MOBIA’s pursuit of Platinum Status with HP; as we continue to align with HP in their vision of open standards for converged infrastructure and cloud computing.

MOBIA is selected by HP to join their PartnerONE programs for Cloud through the HP Helion Cloud Builder and HP Helion Cloud Reseller Programs.  Randy Milthorpe; HP Canada’s Helion Channel Business Development Manager commented:

“HP is enthused about MOBIA Technology Innovations joining the HP Cloud Builder Partner Program. MOBIA demonstrates strong expertise in the strategy, design, implementation and lifecycle of hybrid information technology. Thus, MOBIA strongly compliments HP’s approach to the New Style of IT.  HP looks forward to working together with MOBIA in utilizing HP Helion products and services across Private Cloud, Public Cloud and Managed Cloud engagements.”

MOBIA supports the Water for Life Gala event in Halifax.

Ten members of team MOBIA attended the UNICEF Water for Life Gala Event, to help raise funding and awareness for clean and safe water in developing nations.  MOBIA purchased a water pump which will transform a community and provide clean, safe drinking water.

Overall the dinner raised an outstanding $204,000 once again showing that Nova Scotians are amongst the most generous people on the planet.  During the event, 271 water health bundles were also purchased. These water health bundles contain 4 water sanitation kits, 120 oral rehydration salts and 1,300 water purification tablets needed to save and protect the lives of vulnerable children.

Through innovative initiatives, UNICEF works to ensure safe water, sanitation and hygiene are brought to more homes and schools, reaching as many children as possible, even in difficult environments.  Whether in times of crisis or periods of peace, in cities or remote villages, UNICEF is committed to ensuring a healthy foundation for every child through safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

As part of our strategy to deliver exceptional value to Canadian healthcare providers, MOBIA Technology Innovations has entered into a Preferred Network Provider Agreement with medical equipment manufacturer, Draeger Medical Canada Inc., a division of the international Dräger Group.

MOBIA recently completed a major network refresh/expansion project for this 300-bed acute care facility. We designed and implemented new high-performance wired and wireless network technologies and management software systems to support a combined corporate and guest network over a single, highly-mobile, all-IP environment. The new system enables controlled access to all clinical and enterprise systems and accommodates growing bandwidth/service demands for the next five years. MOBIA provided hardware and software through our network solution partners, Brocade Networks (wired) and Meru Networks (wireless), and provided network support throughout the upgrades and expansion without interruption to service.
